Bibb County Student Arrested For Using Box Cutter To Cut Classmate

Box CutterMACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A student from Hutchings Career Center in Macon was arrested, for cutting another student’s face with a box cutter, according to a news release from the Bibb County School District’s Department of Public Relations.

It happened Monday morning around 11:45, when two female students got into a physical altercation while at school. The 16 year old was cut on the left side of her face. She was examined on site by E.M.T. personnel, but did not require any further medical attention.

A 17 year old female was arrested and taken to the Bibb County L.E.C. and was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon on school grounds, and disruption of a public school.

According to the news release, the box cutter had been wrapped inside dollar bills in the 17 year old girl’s wallet. She then transferred the weapon to her bra area after arriving at school.

Parents were notified of the incident, and additional officers are at the school Tuesday.
