Telfair County Elementary School Remembers 9/11

MCRAE , Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)-September 11th was remembered today at Telfair County Elementary School. Hundreds of students gathered in the school gym to remember those who lost their lives during the September 11th attacks in 2001. The school’s chorus performed.  Fire fighters, the mayor, and several police officers were also in attendance. 

The guest speaker was Telfair Native Donice Wright.

“I hope everybody takes out a moment during the day to just give thanks and a moment of silence for those whose lives were sacrificed,” said Donice Wright. 

Wright is also a former student at Telfair County Elementary School. Wright has spent 13 years in the U.S. Air Force.
