Two Men Dead in East Macon Double Homicide

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon police are investigating a double homicide that happened on the east side of town late Thursday night.

Two men were found dead after a shooting in East Macon, but police do not believe either of them fired a gun. Their neighbor Tira Thomas heard the deadly scene play out.

“I heard four gun shots,” Thomas said. “To hear my friend tell me my brother lay on the middle of the yard right there with 4 gun shot wounds in him.”

Macon police say no suspects or persons of interest have been linked to the shooting. It happened just before 11:30 pm Thursday night at a home on Cowan street. When police arrived, they found 26 year old Antonio Fluellen and 25 year old Deundra Emory had been shot. According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, Fluellen was shot in the head and Emory suffered from multiple stabs and gunshot wounds.

“They’re sweet good guys, ” Thomas said. “They were really good guys.”

Fluellen died at the scene. Emory was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where he later died. Their neighbor Patricia Howard says a tragedy like this is unnerving.

“You shouldn’t take a person’s life. You don’t take something that you can’t give back,” Howard said. “Only god can take it back. You cant give him back what you took from him.”

With a potential killer on the loose, residents are shaken up.

“We’re going to watch our back, no telling what’s going on around here. I just have to be careful,” Thomas said.

Cop cars are patrolling the area, looking for clues and any witnesses who could shed some light on what happened.

“It’s devastating, it’s so sad,” Howard said. “I hate that, I hate to hear that.”

“I’m missing them already. It hurts, it hurts,” Thomas said.

This is an ongoing investigation. Police are urging anyone with information on the double homicide to call them at 751-7500.
