FPD Receives Top National Recognition

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The middle school at First Presbyterian Day School was named a National Blue Ribbon School today by the U.S. Department of Education.

According to Department of Education’s website, “the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students’ levels of academic achievement.”

According to the school, it is one of just eight schools in the entire state to receive this honor, the only school in middle Georgia that was recognized, and one of just 50 private schools nationwide.
