Macon State College Adds Activity Center & Cafe To Warner Robins Campus

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Today, students at Macon State College spent some time enjoying the new activity center and cafe at the Warner Robins campus. The grand opening was held this morning to celebrate the new 3,000 square-foot building. The activity center includes a ping-pong table, pool table, cafe, and an Xbox 360 and Wii gaming area.

James Hagler, Director of Recreation and Wellness, hopes the new activity center will help students meet new friends and give them a place to go between classes.

” Rather than just having the friends that they had when they got here, they will actually make new friends by being able to interact with them. We are going to have a Wii bowling tournament. We are going to have a ping-pong tournament…stuff like that,” said James Hagler, Director of Recreation & Wellness.

The activity center was funded through student-paid fees.
