Sentencing Scheduled in Houston County Murder-for-Hire Case

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – James “Eddy” Clements is scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday after he was convicted on all counts in his wife’s murder.

Clements will be sentenced based 14 charges including malice murder and felony murder. He was found guilty of hiring Robert and Richard Sybert to murder to his wife Joni.

Joni Clements was shot and killed in her Warner Robins home in February 2011.

District Attorney George Hartwig tells 41 NBC that James Clements, Robert Sybert and Richard Sybert will all be sentenced Wednesday at Houston County Superior Court.
