Internet Video Causes Stir in Bibb County BOE District 2 Race
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – As the Bibb County Board of Education election draws closer,
controversy creeps into the race for District 2.
An Internet video shows candidate Angel Davis Hopper, arguing with a woman over where she can put her signs. As Hopper learned today, the piece of land she was trying to campaign on, is off limits.
In the video, Hopper is seen arguing with a woman named Lillie Gantt-Evans. The exchange goes back and forth. Hopper was upset that Gantt-Evans removed her signs from a lot on the corner of Pio Nono Avenue and Mercer University Drive.
“She said nobody gave you the authority to move my signs, but she on private property unless you get permission,” says Gantt-Evans.
