Two Maconites Chosen to Represent Georgia at DNC

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two Macon residents were chosen to represent the whole state of Georgia at the Democratic National Convention.

Paul Bronson and Sarah Hunt, both local activists, hope their role as delegates for the 8th Congressional District, will help unify the city, and combat racism.

“We are pushing for the re-election of President Obama, and with that I would like to see more unity among the different races and different backgrounds that we have,” Bronson tells 41NBC. “Unity has been growing, it is growing, we can see that just by seeing how the city and county are working together now to get things pushed forward.”

The convention will be held in Charlotte, NC in September.
