Columbus Man Behind Bars For Shoplifting from Macon Walmart

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Sunday, Macon police arrested a man for attempting to steal from the Walmart on Gray Highway.

John Paul Jones, Jr. of Columbus, Georgia was found hiding in the back of the store with shopping carts filled with unpaid items. The merchandise totaled about $12,000. Jones also had burglary tools and methamphetamine in his possession. He is being held at the Bibb County LEC.
