Valor Candles Shipping 800 to NY for Sports Emmy Awards

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Valor candles, is getting national recognition at this year’s Sports Emmy awards in New York.

The downtown Macon business was chosen as one of 30 from around the country to send its product as part of the gift bag for the event. Owner, Johnny Rohrbeck, says this is great exposure for the company. When the last minute opportunity popped up, he and 10 helpers committed to making 800 candles in just one week.

“We had a lot to figure out. Can we handle it? Can we get enough people working to fill the order? So that’s where we are now. We just put the label on the 800th candle and are about to ship them out,” says Rohrbeck.

Since the shop opened about 7 months ago, business has been booming. A store in Pennsylvania is carrying its products, and the local company is looking to expand to New Jersey as well.
