Man Shot In The Chest After Attempted Robbery
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is in stable condition after he was shot by a woman, he and another man were trying to rob.
The victim says she was dropping someone off on English Avenue in Macon, when she heard yelling. Two men, one at the passenger window, and another in the front of the car, waived handguns and demanded money from her.
Macon Police say the woman shot 32 year-old Brenton Lace Spencer in self-defense, after the passenger side suspect fired at her.
A few minutes later, police responded to a car accident on Forsyth and College streets involving the suspects. They ran away after they flagged a car down to take Spencer to the hospital.
Spencer is recovering from a gun shot wound to the chest at the Medical Center. He will be transported to the Bibb County LEC upon release.
