Carpenter Bees Come With Early Spring

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Spring came early in middle Georgia, and with the warm weather came unwanted pests. Carpenter bees started appearing about a month earlier than usual.

“They’re like dive bombers, you know, they just zoom, zoom right down at ya,” says Bibb County resident, Maurice Appling.

Appling lives at the Falls at Spring Creek apartment complex in Bibb County. He says every year the bees cause a big stir when the warm weather rolls in.

“I wish I had a racquetball racket so I could just play racquetball with them because they are annoying. Very, very annoying.”
