Murder Suspect Pleaded Guilty to Stabbing a Warner Robins Woman

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is sentenced to life in prison Friday for murdering a Warner Robins woman. 45-year-old Ronald William Free pleaded guilty in the Houston County Superior Court for killing Carol Johnson in 1995.

Free broke in Johnson’s home and when she arrived at her residence in the process of the burglary he stabbed Johnson.

This case had gone unsolved for 12 years until DNA evidence matched Free in 2007.

He was in prison at the time for an unrelated offense.
