Bag of Drugs Found Ruptured in Bibb Inmates Stomach
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Tuesday an autopsy report revealed the Bibb County inmate who died in his cell had two bags of drugs in his system. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said the inmate swallowed the bags and one ruptured in his stomach.
Jones said the cause of death and the type of drug is still unknown. The Coroner’s Office is waiting for blood test results.
Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley pronounced Chavis Bernard Poole dead around 10:30am Monday at the Bibb County LEC.
Macon Police arrested Poole Thursday for a State Court Probation Violation.
