Local Attorney Running for Bibb County School Board

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Another candidate is throwing his name in the race for Bibb County School Board.

Macon attorney, Lester Miller, is seeking the District 4 seat currently held by Susan Middleton. Miller says he is a product of Bibb County Public Schools. He believes the school board needs to redirect focus on safety and discipline, and the students need to come first.

“It’s been a business thing. It’s been about money. It’s been about getting Title 1 funds to be able to do certain things, and I really thing we out to put the children back. If the children are really about what we are trying to protect and educate, we need to put them back in the forefront,” says Miller.

Miller’s two children are currently in Bibb County Schools. He believes his role as a parent will help him be a voice for other parents and teachers.
