Westside High School Students to Become New Voters

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Over 160 students from Westside High School will become voters today.

During a special ceremony, students will learn the importance of getting involved in public policy and they will develop a better understanding and appreciation of the right to vote.

State Representative Dr. James Beverly will be the guest speaker and State Senator Miriam Paris will lead the students in a pledge of citizenship.

The ceremony will be this morning at 9 A.M.
