Arrests Made During Cherry Blossom Events

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Police arrest five people during this past weekend’s Cherry Blossom Festival for various charges.

Saturday, 61 year-old Carol Ann Daniels and 42 year-old Michael Davis were arrested for possession of marijuana.  They were found at the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Poplar Street. Both have been released on a $1,300 bond.

According to a news release, 18 year-old Tyejuan Taylor, 27 year-old Travion Veal, and 17 year-old Tyran Thomas were also arrested for disorderly conduct. All three were arrested in Central City Park and released on $390 bond.

In a separate incident, gunshots were heard as people were leaving the street party on Saturday. Police are still investigating this incident and have not made any arrests. No one was hurt or reported shot at during this incident.
