Macon Council Fears Inconsistent Youth Violence Plan
Bibb County Superintendent, Dr. Romain Dallemand bulked up the discipline portion of the Macon Miracle after hearing from the community. While it looks like a starting point, city officials say it will take a middle Georgia group effort to keep youth crime down.
“When the weather gets hot you know your violence is going to start. Then you’ll see people begin to get interested, kids are dying on the street. But if it’s not but one in three months, maybe that’s one that shouldn’t have happened,” said City Councilman, Henry Gibon, who is on the Public Safety Committee and a former Macon Police Captain.
