Bibb County Leaders Pledged Their Support For Macon Miracle Plan

MACON, Georgia(41NBC/WMGT)-Today at the Macon Terminal Station, several Bibb County leaders pledged their support for the Bibb County School District’s strategic plan, “The Macon Miracle.” Mayor Reichert, along with Bibb County Commissioner Sam Hart and several other community leaders gathered to give reasons why they support the Macon Miracle.  Bibb County Commissioner Sam Hart says businesses that are looking to come to Macon want to know that the school system is doing its job to prepare students for the future.

Chairman of the Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority Clifford Whitby says he supports the plan because technology is changing, and a better workforce is needed to compete into today’s job market.

“A house divided against itself can’t stand.  We got to come together.  We got to take the bull by the horn.  We got to stand behind the man that we brought in this community to do such an awesome task.  So Macon, if we are ready, the Mayor said get on board.  I bought my ticket Mr. Mayor,” said Whitby. 

Dr. Dallemand said he will continue to talk with parents and the community about the details of the Macon Miracle Plan.
