Police Officer Hits Man With Patrol Car
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon Police officer hits a man with his patrol car early this morning.
The officer stopped 37-year-old Lafonza Williams just around 2 A.M. for a traffic violation near Napier Avenue.
During the stop, Williams got out of his vehicle, and so did the officer. That’s when the officer realized he forgot to put his car in park. He then stuck his foot inside of his patrol car, and simultaneously hit the gas and the break pedal. The car jumped forward, hit Williams, and knocked him to the ground.
Williams was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was treated for cuts to the head. He’s in stable condition.
Williams was driving with a suspended license.
