Zambrano Strikes Out 5 In Marlins’ Tie With Braves
JUPITER, Fla. (AP) – Carlos Zambrano struck out five in four innings and the Florida Marlins tied the Atlanta Braves 2-all Tuesday. The game was called after 10 innings.
Zambrano gave up two hits and one run. The last time Zambrano faced the Braves was Aug. 12 when stormed off the mound after allowing eight runs, cleaned out his locker and never pitched again for the Chicago Cubs.
Braves starter Mike Minor gave up one hit in four scoreless innings and struck out four.
Hanley Ramirez made two nice plays at third base for the Marlins, including a barehanded pickup on Martin Prado’s bouncer.
