Fort Valley Council Expected to Discuss Anderson Investigation
FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Fort Valley City Administrator Martha McAfee tells 41NBC she has completed her investigation on the city’s Public Safety Director, and that city council members will likely discuss and possibly decide on her recommendation at tonight’s meeting.
An unspecified complaint led to Public Safety Director John David Anderson being placed on paid administrative leave earlier this month, while McAfee conducted her investigation into an accusation that Anderson violated the city’s personnel policies.
McAfee would not say what her recommendation is.
Anderson was hired as Chief of Police for the City in 2006 and was later named Director of Public Safety in 2010, when the city combined the management of the Fire and Police Departments.
