Inmate hospitalized after altercation with another inmate in Bibb County

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — An inmate was hospitalized following a physical altercation with another inmate Wednesday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the incident happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. on October 21.

Two inmates were involved in a physical altercation that left one of them with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies quickly gained control of the situation and transported the injured inmate to a local medical facility, where he is listed in stable condition.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the incident remains under investigation.
