Bibb County Leaders Give Support For Macon Miracle Plan

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Today, Macon Mayor Robert Reichert and Bibb County Commission Chairman Sam Hart annoucned they’re in favor of the Macon Miracle.

Parents, teachers, and students have given their opinions about Dr. Dallemand’s Macon Miracle Plan.  Some support it, and some don’t.  Mayor Reichert announced his support for the plan.

“There are a lot of people that have concerns; there are a lot of people that are afraid.  But the only thing, in my opinion, that is the fear of the unknown.  We know what we have now.  What we have now isn’t working.  We know what we have now is failing us, and it’s not providing adequate education opportunities for our children,” said Mayor Reichert.

Bibb County Chairman Sam Hart also released a statement in support of the plan.  Chairman Hart says, “I urge the Bibb County Board of Education to adopt the Macon Miracle Plan, and I ask the community to stand with Dr. Dallemand and the Board of Education throughout its implementation.  By doing so, I believe we can move towards being an innovative and successful community.”

Chairman Hart and Mayor Reichert both believe that the success and failure of the Bibb County School System impacts the future of our entire community.
