Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger presents Eagle award

Georgia Secretary of state Brad Raffensperger is recognizing election officials in Middle Georgia for their work in maintaining secure and efficient elections.  

BLECKLEY COUNTY, GEORGIA (41NBC/WMGT)- Georgia Secretary of state Brad Raffensperger is recognizing election officials in Middle Georgia for their work in maintaining secure and efficient elections.  

Raffensperger visited the Bleckley County board of elections today to present staff with the Eagle award (Election Administration Golden Leader in Excellence), an honor that recognizes excellence in election administration. 

“UGA did a poll and over 95% of all people trust the poll workers and county election directors. That just shows you the kind of trust that we’ve built into the system, and the great work done here in Bleckley County,” said Raffensperger. 

The Eagle award recognizes election offices for their commitment to accuracy, integrity, and excellence. Bleckley County election officials say the recognition highlights the work that goes into making sure voters can trust the election process.
