Barrington Hall Golf Club to host third annual Barrington Hall Market featuring women-owned business
Annual event at Barrington Hall Golf Club features over 20 women-owned businesses and aims to boost local entrepreneurship.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – As October marks National Women’s Small Business Month, a local event is celebrating the impact of women entrepreneurs in Middle Georgia. The Barrington Hall Market, now in its third year, will bring together more than 20 women-owned small businesses this Saturday at the Barrington Hall Golf Club in Macon.
The market, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offers shoppers the opportunity to browse a wide array of unique products — from homemade bags and sweet treats to candles and specialty gifts — just in time for early holiday shopping.
Event coordinator Carla Cox says the gathering is about much more than retail therapy. “When you support local, that’s coming right back into your local community,” Cox said.
Many of the vendors at Barrington Hall Market balance their businesses with family responsibilities, drawing on their talents and passions to create one-of-a-kind products.
“They’re doing this for their family. They’re also doing it because it’s the gifts that they’ve been given, and they’re using those talents and those gifts to create something that someone can enjoy and use,” Cox added.
Throughout the event, attendees will also have the chance to win door prizes. The Barrington Hall Market aims to support women entrepreneurs and encourage the Macon community to shop local this Saturday.
