Bibb County Animal Services to host 3rd annual Pumpkins and Paws

Families can also enjoy a kids’ zone with bounce houses, horse rides and face painting.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s Animal Services is inviting the community to its 3rd annual Pumpkins and Paws event in October.

The event will be held Saturday, October 10, from noon to 4 p.m. at Bibb County Sheriff’s Animal Services, 4214 Fulton Mill Road.

Pumpkins and Paws will feature free microchipping for community pets and free dog and cat adoptions for approved homes.

Families can also enjoy a kids’ zone with bounce houses, horse rides and face painting. The event will include local vendors, food trucks, an ice cream truck, a coffee booth and a raffle.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, vendors will donate a portion of their earnings to the shelter, and all proceeds from raffle ticket sales will also benefit the shelter and animals in its care.

Free popcorn, candy and dog treats will also be available.

People bringing dogs are asked to keep them on a secure leash. Retractable leashes are not allowed. Cats brought to the event for microchipping must be kept in a secure carrier.
