Bibb County deputies investigate credit union robbery in Macon
According to the sheriff’s office, the robbery was reported at 8:59 a.m. at the credit union at 2040 Ingleside Ave.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery Tuesday morning at the Central Georgia Regional Credit Union on Ingleside Avenue.
According to the sheriff’s office, the robbery was reported at 8:59 a.m. at the credit union at 2040 Ingleside Ave.
Investigators said a man entered the credit union and slid a note to a teller demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled on foot east toward Riverside Drive.
No injuries were reported.
The sheriff’s office described the suspect as a man with black hair who was wearing glasses, an orange sweater and a black T-shirt. Investigators also released a surveillance image of the suspect.
The investigation remains in its preliminary stages.
