MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT-DT) — U.S. agencies are urging consumers to check their kitchens and bedrooms after a series of major recalls involving meat, chicken stew and mattresses.
Meat recall: More than 160,000 pounds pulled

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is recalling more than 160,000 pounds of raw pork, beef, and goat nationwide. The meat, produced by Star Meat and distributed by A&D Foods, was sold with fake USDA inspection labels and skipped required safety checks. The affected products, identified by establishment number EST 13-63, were shipped to stores and restaurants across the country. No illnesses have been reported.
Sempio Chicken Stew recall impacts multiple states

Sempio Food Services Inc. of Cerritos, California, is recalling about 4,600 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken stew imported from the Republic of Korea without proper reinspection. The recall covers “Sempio Korean Ginseng Chicken Stew Classic” and “Sempio Korean Ginseng Chicken Stew Rich,” sold in eight states, including Georgia, Florida, and New York. No illnesses have been linked to these products.
Kesyup Mattress recall over fire hazard

More than 48,000 Kesyup-brand mattresses sold on Amazon between December 2024 and April 2026 are being recalled for failing to meet federal flammability standards. The Consumer Product Safety Commission warns the mattresses pose a fire risk and advises consumers to stop using them immediately and contact the seller for a full refund. No injuries have been reported.
