Forsyth Fall Festival returns September 26 with vendors, kids’ zone and entertainment

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Downtown Forsyth Courthouse Square.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Downtown Forsyth is welcoming families for its Fall Festival and Community Yard Sale, featuring nearly 70 vendors, live entertainment, children’s activities and opportunities to support local businesses.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include yard sale, arts and crafts, food, business and organization activity booths.

Kemie Childs joined 41 Today to preview the festival, which she described as one of Forsyth’s biggest fall events.

This year, organizers are adding performances from three local dance studios along with music from a DJ. Eleve’ Dance Studio is scheduled to perform at 11 a.m., D4L (Dancing for the Lord) at 1 p.m. and Legacy Dance Studio at 2 p.m.

Nearly 70 vendors will participate in the festival, including arts and crafts vendors, yard sale vendors and organizations hosting activity booths. Vendor registration is already full.

Green Pastures Funyard is sponsoring the Kids Corner, where children can purchase an $8 armband for all-day play. Childs said activities will include bounce houses and face painting. Organizers are also adding a seating area where parents can relax while their children play.

The festival will also kick off downtown Forsyth’s Scarecrow Showcase. Scarecrows will be displayed on the courthouse lawn, with voting beginning at 10 a.m. Visitors can scan a QR code to vote for their favorite.

The Atlanta Braves’ Out of the Park Retail Truck is also scheduled to make a stop at the festival, giving visitors an opportunity to shop for official Braves merchandise.

Childs said events like the Fall Festival also provide an opportunity to introduce visitors to downtown Forsyth and its local businesses.

Organizers are encouraging visitors to explore downtown, support local businesses and enjoy the beginning of the fall season.
