Wilkinson County health fair to offer free resources and drug take-back
A free health and wellness fair will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, at Fountain Grove AME Church in Irwinton.
IRWINTON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT-DT) – A free health and wellness fair will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, at Fountain Grove AME Church in Irwinton.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, located at 2137 Asbell Road.
Community members can receive health information and hear from speakers covering topics such as nutrition, mental health, financial wellness and substance-use prevention. The fair will also feature free food, music, giveaways and door prizes.
A supervised drug take-back will be available for people to safely dispose of expired, unwanted or unused medications.
The health fair is free and open to the public.
