Business Insider reports some travelers are skipping flights and lengthy road trips and instead renting vacation homes near where they live.
Rather than filling those trips with packed itineraries and bucket-list activities, some vacationers are focusing on simple ways to relax.

The trend reflects a growing interest in vacations centered on rest and simple experiences rather than elaborate travel plans.
