Teen killed in early morning shooting in Warner Robins

Warner Robins police are investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old dead early Friday morning.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins police are investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old dead early Friday morning.

According to the Warner Robins Police Department, officers were dispatched to a shooting call on Ignico Drive near Village South around 2:42 a.m. When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old male who had suffered a gunshot wound. Police said the teen died from his injuries. Another person involved in the incident remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to police.

The Warner Robins Police Department’s Criminal Investigation and Forensics units were called to the scene to continue the investigation and process evidence.

Police have not released the identity of the 18-year-old or additional details about what led to the shooting.

The investigation remains active, and police say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
