Teenager Fatally Stabbed in Milledgeville

Milledgeville Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened Wednesday night on Vinson Highway.

19-year-old Laura Baswell, of Eatonton, was declared dead just after midnight. That’s according to Baldwin County Coroner John Gonzalez.

Baswell’s body was sent to the GBI crime lab in Atlanta this morning, and the preliminary report shows she died from a single stab wound to the chest. Milledgeville Police are investigating.
