The U.S. military has identified two American soldiers killed in an Iranian strike on a base in Jordan as the conflict with Iran entered another day of escalating military action.

(NBC)- The U.S. military has identified two American soldiers killed in an Iranian strike on a base in Jordan as the conflict with Iran entered another day of escalating military action.

The fallen service members were identified as First Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Hawaii, and Private Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Texas. Flags were lowered to half-staff in Hawaii, while veterans in Gonzales’ hometown honored her service.

President Donald Trump vowed retaliation, saying Iran would “pay many times over” for the deaths of American service members.

Overnight, U.S. forces launched a 10th consecutive night of strikes against Iranian targets.

U.S. Central Command said a third service member remains missing following the attack in Jordan and that officials are working to identify human remains recovered from the site.

CENTCOM also announced that another American service member was killed in Iraq during the controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian drone.

As the fighting continues, Democrats in Congress are demanding more information about the conflict, including the damage to U.S. facilities, casualties and the administration’s long-term strategy.

A senior administration official told NBC News the conflict has entered a period of uncertainty following the collapse of a ceasefire. While both the United States and Iran have signaled an interest in negotiations, military operations continue as President Trump weighs his next steps.
