(LILAMAX)- Oil prices climbed above $90 per barrel Sunday following the deaths of three U.S. service members and escalating tensions in the Middle East. Higher crude oil prices could quickly lead to more expensive gasoline for consumers. According to AAA, the national average price for a gallon of regular gas was just below $4 Sunday and could move above that level.

The first lawsuits have been filed against Taco Bell following a recent food poisoning outbreak. The plaintiffs claim they became ill after eating at Taco Bell restaurants and missed several days of work because of their illnesses. Taco Bell declined to comment on the lawsuits.

On Wall Street, stocks finished lower Friday after China’s latest artificial intelligence breakthrough rattled investors. All three major indexes ended the day in the red.

Consumers looking to save money on groceries may want to compare prices at Kroger. A new study from Restaurant Furniture Plus found Kroger had the lowest total cost for a basket of 15 store-brand essentials, including milk, bread, eggs, chicken, pasta and canned goods. Walmart ranked second, followed by Aldi and Albertsons.

And while shoppers continue exploring healthier ice cream alternatives, Instacart says traditional favorites still dominate. Vanilla was the most-purchased ice cream flavor in 2025, accounting for about 21% of all orders and ranking as the top flavor in every state and Washington, D.C.
