First Community Connect event coming to Warner Robins
The event will bring nonprofits, local businesses and community members together August 15 at VFW Memorial Post.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A local business is organizing the first ‘Community Connect’ event in Warner Robins.
The goal is simple: to bring nonprofits, local businesses, and the community together in one place to build lasting relationships across Middle Georgia.
Marissa Erwin, owner of Goosehead Insurance-Erwin Agency in Warner Robins and one of the event organizers, says many people want to volunteer, donate, or get involved, but they don’t know where to start. She hopes this event will open doors for nonprofits and help them find support all year long.
“Nonprofits are just that, they run off of volunteer and donations, so it’s needed throughout the year, not just at the end of the year when the holiday season is around,” Erwin said.
She says the impact local businesses can have for nonprofits is powerful. This event is also about helping the community discover important resources and ways to get involved.
“If the community doesn’t know these resources exist, what good are they?” she said.
