HYUNDAI RECALL

CREDIT: HYUNDAI
If you drive a Hyundai, over 96,000 vehicles are being recalled due to a software glitch that could cause the instrument panel display to go blank, hiding important safety information and raising the risk of a crash. The recall affects certain Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, and Tucson Plug-in Hybrid models from 2025 to 2026. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there have been no confirmed crashes linked to the issue so far.
Owners will get a notice by mail in late August. The fix is a free software update.
LOMI WAXING KIT RECALL
Heads up for anyone using a Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit. Southern Telecom has expanded its recall of these waxing kits because the power cords can overheat, creating a risk of fire, burns, or electrical shock. No injuries have been reported, but there have been more incidents of overheating.
If you own one, stop using it immediately. The kits were sold at Ross, DD’s, Variety Wholesalers, and Burlington from February to December 2025.
DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES
Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing is recalling certain Amana air conditioners and heat pumps due to a fire and burn hazard. The heating element in the affected units can stay on even when the unit is turned off, increasing the risk of melting, fire, or injury. So far, there has been one report of melting plastic, but no injuries.
The recall covers white Amana window-room and through-the-wall units with model numbers starting with PB, AH, or AE, sold nationwide from April to December 2025. Consumers should stop using these units immediately and contact Daikin for a full refund. Proof of ownership, including a photo of the serial number and the cut cord, will be required.
HONLYNE LED PARTY FAVORS RECALL
Honlyne LED Party Favors sold on Amazon from June 2024 to December 2025 have been recalled because the button cell batteries are accessible to kids and pose a serious safety risk if swallowed.
If swallowed, button cell batteries can cause severe injuries, internal chemical burns, or even death. No injuries reported yet, but the company urges you to stop using these items right away.
