Scheduled water outage planned for parts of Macon on June 23

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A planned repair by the Macon Water Authority is expected to temporarily impact water service for about 20 customers on June 23.
According to MWA, crews will begin replacing a 6-inch water valve at the intersection of Bright Street and Telfair Street at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Customers in the affected area may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of water service while the work is completed.
The repair is expected to take six to eight hours.
Areas that may be affected include:
• 628 Bright St. through 831 Bright St.
• 1537 Rosecrest Ave. through 1595 Rosecrest Ave.
• 1590 Telfair St. through 1746 Telfair St.
Macon Water Authority officials said affected customers were notified 72 hours in advance and will receive updates once service is restored.
The project is expected to affect approximately 20 customers.
