Eight-year-old injured in Bibb County hit-and-run, sheriff’s office says

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, investigators are looking into a hit-and-run that left an eight-year-old injured in Bibb County.

The crash happened just after 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at the intersection of Frances Drive and Rice Mill Road.

Deputies say the child was struck by a white Ford F-150 and suffered a leg injury.

In a video we received as a tip, a person can be seen getting out of the truck, moving a bicycle out of the way, then getting back in the vehicle and driving off.

Witnesses were not able to obtain a tag number.

The investigation is still active as deputies work to identify the driver.
