PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Republican candidate for governor Rick Jackson made a campaign stop in Perry Monday as part of his fly around event ahead of Election Day on Tuesday.

Jackson spoke to supporters about his priorities if elected, with a focus on tax cuts. He said he plans to lower property taxes and cut the state income tax in half.

During his visit, Jackson said he wants to bring a business minded approach to state government.

“I want to bring business solutions to Georgia, just like President Trump has for the United States, and the reason they need to vote for me is because I actually get things done,” Jackson said.

Jackson also spoke about public safety during his remarks. He said his goal is to make Georgia the best place to raise a family while also making it the worst place to be a criminal.
