WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Warner Robins brought the community together Thursday evening for its May Food Truck Roundup at Perkins Field, with a special focus on honoring local law enforcement.

This month’s event, called “WRPD Strong: Night of Blue Lights,” recognized officers and public safety personnel during Police Week.

Families gathered to enjoy a variety of food trucks, live music and activities for children, while also getting the opportunity to meet officers and explore police vehicles up close.

Officer Greg Martin with the Warner Robins Police Department said the turnout was both meaningful and appreciated.

“It’s an honor, and it’s very humbling to see the amount of people that come out and support us,” Martin said. “Warner Robins traditionally is a very pro-police town, and to have everybody come out and show their support is amazing.”

City leaders said the event served as a way to show appreciation for local law enforcement while also strengthening connections between officers and the community they serve.
