MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A growing list of product recalls is urging consumers to check their shelves for potentially contaminated or faulty items. From eczema cream to chocolate bars, pet food, and electric kettles, here are the latest recalls and how you can protect your household.
MG217 Eczema Cream recalled due to bacterial contamination
Consumers who use MG217 Eczema Cream should check their medicine
cabinets right away. One lot of the cream, sold in 6-ounce tubes with an expiration date of November 2026, has been recalled because it may be contaminated with Staph bacteria. While no illnesses have been reported so far, the FDA recommends discontinuing use and safely discarding the product. The affected cream was sold both in retail stores and online.
Nationwide chocolate recall expands over salmonella fears
Chocolate lovers should also be on alert. ‘Spring and Mulberry’ has voluntarily expanded its earlier recall of select chocolate bars due to concerns over possible salmonella contamination. The affected varieties include Pure Dark, Blood Orange, and Mint Leaf flavors. Although there have been no confirmed reports of illness, consumers are advised to stop consuming these products as a precaution.
Popcorn seasoning recalled for salmonella risk
JCB Flavors has announced a recall of its popular Sour Cream and Onion Popcorn Seasoning. The seasoning contains a milk powder ingredient that was sourced from another company already involved in a recall for salmonella. No one has reported illness at this time, but the company urges customers to stop using the product out of an abundance of caution.
Albright’s raw dog food recall due to salmonella risk
Dog owners are advised to check for Albright’s Raw Dog Food chicken, sold in 1-pound pouches with a best-by date of April 28, 2027. The company is recalling a single lot because of the risk of salmonella contamination. If you have this product, do not feed it to your pet. Dispose of it safely and contact the company for a refund.
Zwilling electric kettle recall due to burn hazard
If you own a Zwilling electric kettle, inspect the handle carefully. The kettle has been recalled due to the risk that the handle could separate from the body, potentially causing burns. There have been 163 reports of the handle loosening or separating, including five incidents where the handle detached entirely and one case resulting in a second-degree burn. The kettles were sold at HomeGoods stores nationwide and online. Owners should stop using the kettle immediately.
Certain Petzl harnesses recalled for safety defect
Outdoor enthusiasts should be aware that certain Petzl harnesses are being recalled. The affected models are missing crucial rivets in the Fast LT Pin-Lock buckles, which can cause the buckles to open unexpectedly and create a risk of serious injury or death from falls. The harnesses were sold both individually and in packs of five. No injuries have been reported, but owners should stop using the harness and contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
