Handgun Found on Central High School Campus Results in Code Red Lockdown

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An handgun found at Central High School leads to a Code Red lockdown Friday morning. According to Bibb County School officials, the gun was found on Central High’s campus during the first block.

Campus Police immediately put the school on lockdown. Minutes later, Miller Magnet Middle School was placed on Code Yellow lockdown because of its proximity to Central High School. Both Central High School and Miller Magnet Middle School returned to normal operations after an extensive search.
