South of Atlanta Fest returns
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Brent Cobb brings the South of Atlanta Fest back to Macon on May 1-2. The festival spans iconic venues including The Big House, Robins Financial Capitol Theatre, and Capricorn Sound Studios, featuring live Southern soul music, songwriter sessions, and afterparties. Cobb, who penned Luke Combs’ #1 hit “Days Like These,” will be joined by top artists for concerts and a sold-out songwriter round. Wristbands grant access to most events.
Charity Golf Tournament supports Hospice Care
The Heart of Georgia Hospice Charity Golf Tournament tees off Friday at Southern Landings Golf Club in Warner Robins. Registration and lunch begin at 12:30 p.m., with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. Entry is $125 per person or $500 per team, with proceeds ensuring families never receive a bill for hospice care.
Monster Jam brings high-octane action
Monster Jam returns to the Macon Coliseum on Saturday at 6 p.m. Fans can watch world-famous trucks like Grave Digger® and El Toro Loco® compete in adrenaline-filled races and stunts. Tickets are required for guests age 2 and up, with some still available for $22.
Barrington Hall Market showcases women entrepreneurs
On Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Barrington Hall Market at Barrington Hall Golf Club spotlights 15 women-owned businesses, offering handcrafted gifts and specialty items—perfect for Mother’s Day. Admission is free and open to all.
Open Streets Macon celebrates community
This Sunday, May 3, from 2 to 5 p.m., Open Streets Macon transforms Houston Avenue into a car-free zone for biking, walking, skating, and community fun. The free event kicks off Macon Bike Walk Month and features music, food, and activities for all ages.
History comes alive at Old Clinton War Days
The 45th annual Old Clinton War Days takes over the Old Clinton National Historical District in Gray on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can enjoy Civil War reenactments, tours of 19th-century homes, crafts, and food vendors. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for ages 6-18, and free for children 5 and under. Saturday hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
