Early voting begins across Georgia for May Primary Election
Voters now have the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day, with early voting continuing through May 15.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Early voting is officially underway across Georgia for the upcoming May 19, 2026 primary election.
Officials say this extended window is designed to make voting more accessible and convenient for residents across the state.
For those planning to vote by mail, absentee ballot applications must be submitted by May 8.
In Bibb County, early turnout is already showing steady participation. Election leaders report that while the first days of early voting are typically slower, this year is seeing a solid start.
Local election officials say more than 50 voters showed up on the first day at one location, with additional participation spread across satellite voting sites, including Theron Ussery Park Recreation Center and the Elaine H. Lucas Senior Center.
Election Day is set for May 19.
