Macon woman killed in crash on Harrison Road

A deadly crash in Bibb County is under investigation after a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a woman.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- A deadly crash in Bibb County is under investigation after a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a woman.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just before noon Sunday on Harrison Road near Chambers Road.Deputies say a vehicle ran off the roadway and crashed into a power pole. The driver, identified as Cheryl McNeal, 53, of Macon, died from her injuries.  Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones confirmed McNeal was pronounced dead at the scene, and her family has been notified.

Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
