Two Bibb County Students Advance To State Spelling Bee Competition

 MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two Bibb County students are on their way to Atlanta after winning the district spelling bee this past weekend.

5th grader Billy Chung from Vineville Academy took home first place, and 6th grader Junus Searcy won second place at the District 6 spelling bee that was held at Fort Valley State University.

The two competed against 19 other students from 13 counties.

Chung and Searcy will participate in the State Spelling Bee competition that will be held on March 16th at Georgia State University.
