Wrightsville Pair Accused Of Vandalizing Several Georgia Farms
TENNILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two people are in jail for destroying crops and farmlands in Washington and Johnson Counties.
According to a news release from Washington County Sheriff Thomas H. Smith, a seven month investigation showed that 29-year-old Delwin Clements and 22-year-old Brittney Angel Slusher, both of Wrightsville, caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to crops on several Georgia farms.
Deputies were called out to Hitchcock Farms south of Tennille on the morning of July 16, 2011, after owner James Hitchcock discovered that thousands of dollars of worth of crops and farm lands had been damaged by vandals.
Both Slusher and Clements are currently being held in the Washington County Jail awaiting a bond hearing. They are being charged with Felony Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Trespass.
