Local Leaders Working to Bring Industry to Taylor County

BUTLER, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Residents of Taylor County are ready to go to work, the problem is, there’s no work to be found. “You drive 50 or 60 miles for a job or you don’t work,” says Cynthia Jones of Butler.

That’s why the county decided to spend more than $500,000 on a speculation building back in 1997.

“This spec building would land a potential prospect that would be able to create a vast number of jobs for the people of this county,” says Commissioner Patty Bentley, Taylor County.
